BMS - Beta Club Initiation Ceremony
The candle lighting initiation ceremony for new inductees to the Benson Middle School Junior Beta Club took place Tuesday, November 03, 2015. The ceremony started at 6:30pm and will be held in the school cafetorium. This year, Benson Middle welcomes thirty-eight new members. Of these new members, three are eighth graders and thirty-five are seventh graders. To be invited as a members, students have to have an overall 90- average on their last report card. To maintain membership, a student cannot make a grade of 85 more than twice. As members, students are expected to follow the National Beta Club Mission Statement which is, “to promote the ideals of academic achievement, service, character, responsibility and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.”
